Natasha's Bio

This section contains everything you could ever want to know about Natasha Lockhart, but if you want to know more, feel free to contact her.

Natasha Lockhart is 24 years old, and lives in her hometown in the mountains of northwestern Virginia, a college town called Harrisonburg.  Her creative interests include writing, nature photography, and graphic design, and other hobbies include off-roading, computer/electronics repair, amateur radio, and the furry fandom.  She can be shy at times, but enjoys meeting new people, particularly those she shares a common interest with.

Natasha got her start online as an independant political columnist, the result of a high school English teacher who, for the first time in his school career, managed to get her to enjoy writing.  She already knew how to build a basic website, so she combined her skills and created her first website, showing off her various articles.  At the time, she was heavily involved with political debate and discussion sites, as well as religious ones, and she quickly gained readers.  She was even published in a Christian devotional book, Forty Voices.  However, the loss of most of her life's work to a destroyed computer hard drive killed her ambitions as an author, and her creativity stagnated.  More about her work since then is available here.

Natasha has always enjoyed cars, trucks, and anything else with an engine.  She's owned several cars, all of which she cared for deeply. Here are all of her vehicles, presented in reverse chronological order (most recent vehicles are at the top).

1999 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor
This is my current daily driver, and lots of fun!  It's a retired slick-top police cruiser from a suburban department in Florida, runs like a dream, and is roomy enough to comfortably fit five people and their luggage on a long trip.  The previous owner bought it at auction and patched the antenna holes, painted it, and made a few small repairs.  I bought it a few months later from a local dealership, and have been in love with it ever since.  Aside from my stereo, I haven't done much with it; though, I must say, in it's current state it's the classiest, fastest, AND most comfortable car I've ever owned.

1995 Land Rover Discovery (Sold August 19, 2009)
This is my off-road toy, a beautiful piece of British engineering.  Built by Rover Group in Solihull, England, the Land Rover Discovery is an extraordinarily capable 4WD vehicle.  I've taken it through some of the roughest terrain in the area, without a bit of trouble.  Modifications include an upgraded ignition coil, removal of the front bumper faschia, installation of a rare grille from an UK-only model, relayed headlights, and other miscellaneous upgrades.

1997 Acura Integra GS (Totalled December 4, 2006)
This was technically my first car (I had another before it, but it wasn't really mine), an early graduation gift from my mom.  It lasted three and a half years before being totalled by an unlicensed high school student, and to this day, it was the best car I've ever owned.  I didn't make that many performance modifications, aside from a cold-air intake and slotted/cross-drilled brake rotors, but other modifications included a full set of LED strobe lights front and rear, an alternating headlight flasher, a dual-band HAM radio with trunk-mounted antenna (replacing the previously-installed CB radio), under-dash neon, and a high-end stereo system.

Natasha has been an avid participant in the furry community for nearly four years (click here if you don't know what the furry community is), and has attended nine conventions, and countless smaller meets and mini-conventions.  She has two characters, and while she's not an artist, she has written some furry fiction.

Here are her characters, or "fursonas".  All of them are grey wolves.

Natasha Softpaw
Natasha Softpaw is a female grey wolf in her late teens (about 17, give or take a year). She’s a light-hearted, fun-loving fur who seldom takes life seriously, and she has a very playful personality. Her favourite activities include hiking, photography, swimming, and just relaxing among the trees near her home. She’s had a strong love of nature (particularly trees and flowers) ever since she was a pup, and happily describes herself as a "tree-hugger". And, while she spends much of her time alone, she also enjoys social activities with her closest friends.

Her build is best described as average, but short. She’s roughly 5'4", but this can vary due to her digitgrade legs (her family’s canine roots are unusually strong). Her headfur is dark brown, more than halfway down her back in length, and she typically lets it flow loosely, having never been a fan of the constricting sensation of hair elastics. But, she does loosely tie it back for swimming or hiking (if it’s a hot day). She seldom wears skirts or dresses, preferring short denim shorts and T-shirts (or tank-tops) instead. And, she usually wears a small, silver pentacle necklace (five-pointed star in a circle). She also loves wearing flowers in her hair, they make her feel like she’s bringing the forest home with her when she heads back after a day of hiking.

Natasha Softpaw (Child)
Natasha Softpaw is a female grey wolf puppy (about 2, give or take a year). She’s highly energetic, yet also quite affectionate, and she greatly prefers playing outside over staying inside. She has an affinity for exploration, but she’s rather timid, so she usually brings one of her plushies (her favourite is a river otter) along to “protect” her. Luckily, her parents have a large, forested backyard, so she can play freely in the woods without being in any real danger. She has a bit of an overactive imagination, and loves dreaming up wild fantasy scenarios, which keep her much too busy to be bothered with TV or video games. But, when bedtime comes, there are few things she enjoys more than a long bath (she loves water), and some snuggle time in the arms of her mommy or daddy.

She has pretty long headfur for her age, it’s nearly halfway down her back, and dark brown in colour. Her preferred style is to just let it flow loosely, but she spends a lot of time brushing it to keep it smooth and untangled. She doesn’t like wearing dresses, nor does she like wearing just a diaper, though she does like jumpers and shortalls. Her favourite colours are lavender and blue, and she hates yellow, with her wardrobe reflecting this. And, she loves bringing flowers back inside after a long day of playing, as well as tucking them in her hair (she thinks they look pretty, and they smell nice).
