\title{\Huge Movie - Days of Thunder (1990)}

\maketitle
I decided to watch the movie ``Days of Thunder'' in 2015, for the first time in my life. I was really into NASCAR when I was little, and I remember that movie existing, but I was too young to see it; and then, when I was old enough, I didn't care anymore. The verdict? It's Top Gun with cars instead of airplanes. And without buff, shirtless guys playing sexy volleyball. So what's the point.
Having a derivative storyline doesn't necessarily make a movie bad; one of my favorite movies is Crooked Arrows, which is The Mighty Ducks but with lacrosse instead of hockey. But, if a film has a highly familiar/predictable story, it has to bring something else to the table, and Days of Thunder just...doesn't. It might be more appealing if I were still into NASCAR, but I'm not, so aside from little moments of nostalgia, it mostly didn't hold my attention. Even with pay-attention pills.
It didn't help that the pacing and timeline were all over the place and hard to follow. At times, there were white-knuckle moments of action where I kinda forgot to breathe...immediately followed by painfully slow, uncomfortable attempts at character development that I was just not able to care about.
It didn't even leave enough of an impact for me to put full effort into a proper review, so I'm kinda out of words. It's a movie from 1990 about NASCAR, and aside from the nostalgia at seeing familiar names and cars, plus a few moments of action, it didn't make me feel much of anything.
